I found a largish nest fallen from our pine tree this morning. There were some dark feathers in the nest, and there were three broken eggs nearby (I put them back in the nest to take the photo). I could see the yolk in two of the eggs, but the third was clean inside. Can anyone tell me what bird would've laid these eggs, I'm having a difficult time finding egg id sources. Thanks!
CLOSED: can you id these bird eggs?
I don't know if you found an answer to your question about the eggs. I did some research and came up with the eggs of the red winged blackbird.

Thanks ever so much, luv!!!! I couldn't seem to find the answer anywhere (I'm better at finding info when I'm not looking for it). We DO have red winged blackbirds here, and those eggs match perfectly. I do appreciate your detective work, thanks again! Enjoy your gardening and have a wonderful summer!!!
You're welcome thea. You enjoy your summer, too. Perhaps we'll touch base sometime in the near future.
