This Mockingbird was alternately singing and flying up and down I'm sure in an effort to attract a female.

Mockingbird Air Dancing
Wow, those are some really great shots! I love watching the MBs, right now I've got two who are trying to work out who owns the rights to my feeding area, LOL.
Amazing series of pictures! Thanks so much.
Terriffic! A wonderful collection.

Very neat GP!!!
Fun collage! and great pics!
Nice pics! Over here, Northern Wheatear has a somewhat similar display flight, similarly showing off its white tail pattern.
As an aside, interesting to consider how much caution has to be given to some statements in some books. One often reads that such-and-such a bird has pointed wings, or such-another bird has rounded wings.
Now look at flight pics 1 and 3 . . . so much depends on posture and angle of viewing!
Resin
Very true Resin, thanks everyone. Very little bird activity here now, so I enjoyed capturing this birds display.
Wonderful series GP! The pics are fantastic thanks for posting them!!
So true Resin! Maybe that's why I have so much trouble with sharp shinned and cooper's hawks! I can be observing one within 2 feet (through a window) and sometimes the tail feathers are tight, and other times open and thus look different.
Nice series GP!
