Why won't my daylilies bloom? They have been great before. Is it too early or do I need to fertilize?
day lilies won't bloom
It may be a little early for your zone, this spring has been rather cool, mine are just starting to bloom, so it is not too late.
Mine haven't bloomed here on the east side of Dallas, either. Glads are going slowly, too. I think the cold snap we had a couple of weeks ago knocked everything back a bit.
My scapes are just forming and the first bloom has opened. I think this spring is all turned around. Yours are probably on the way but it is hard to be patient.
I just noticed my first scapes yesterday. I think the wacky weather has affected them.
Yep, still early. I have about 30 or so varieties, and I did not seeing scapes popping up until late last week. The first one (a very short EE) bloomed today. You are a little more north than I am so probably a week behind me. You should see scapes any day now.
My first daylily bloomed this morning. It won't be long!
I still have no scapes and am on the south side of Dallas
I have a Stella blooming, but nothing else yet.
Am just now seeing scapes in a few DLs this week. They're later than usual this year. By mid-May, I usually have a couple in bloom. Better late than never.
My Stellas and Butterscotch Ruffles started last week, but they are in a sheltered location.
Only the Tropical Lily has bloomed as yet, but then I have a lot of shade.
