Last year(February 2007) I started 2 passion flowers from seed, P. edulis and P. incarnata and now I'm wondering when I'm going to see blooms. They've both recently been moved to a south window where they get full light and are in pots that are just a little bigger and deeper then a regular 6inch. They seem to be growing fine in their pots but should they be potted up to the next size? I'm really hoping to get them to bloom this year so any advice will be most helpful :)
Thanks,
Steven
Getting Passion Flowers to bloom
I would And Give some Bloom Booster Paul
Thanks! I'll get some of that later in the week!

what you need to do is pop one of them out and see if its root bound, if so then pot it up a size and it should do fine! :)
Thansk :) I actualy went ahead and repotted P. edulis yesterday afternoon, it was a little rootbound so I teased the roots apart a bit and repotted.
I'll have to get a photo and post it :)

Mine are just starting to bloom here, in zone9. There are some very strong hdroponic bloom enhancers i read about at a post on the Moring Glory Forum from a plaec called HydroOasis out of California, it had a NPK rating at 0-50-30
which would definitely jumpstart the passifloras too.
Good Luck and enjoy

Thanks Darren, I'll look into that, I work at a large garden centre so I'll look and see what selection they have, keeping an eye out for ferts that have a higher middle and end number.
I'll try to get a photo tomorrow, I love how glossy the leaves are on the edulis.
