Hi. Here is a picture of a Zestar apple tree that we purchased from Stark Bros. As you can see from the pic. something is eating the leaves. We planted 21 trees altogether, five of which are apple (but different varieties). This is the only one that seems to be having this problem. They were planted at the end of this past March. I will be posting another picture of a bug I saw on a different tree that's next to it, but that tree isn't having problems, so I don't know if it's the culprit or not. Thanks in advance for the advice. This is the first time we have ever lived anywhere with enough room to plant trees, so we have high hopes for our fruit trees.
What's wrong with my new apple tree?
Look over your tree again carefully and see if you can't find any caterpillars hiding. Leafrollers are in your area.
