i have a weak spot for partridge!

anyone wanna guess what these chicks are?

Walpole, NH

RIR, black astralorps, and black sex links? Wasnt sure about the gray colored ones in the upper right corner of the pic. Very cute, congrats!

Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

NOPE. all the same breed...

Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

OK, they are all ONE breed, hatched from the same batch in different colors.

hint: they are larger than most fowl, therefore minimum order was 18 [she sent 20, PO killed one]...

Walpole, NH

whoa, allsame breed? Now I'm intrigued!

Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

btw, mine are very calm and quiet, unlike Molly unruly Orp roos... i think the breeder and her kids may have handled them after the early morning hatch before the afternoon shipment. they just don't have that normal fear of a big hand...

Lodi, United States

Can I guess?

Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

NOPE!

Can i guess ?
does it start with a B ?

Conroe, TX

Awwwwww they are so little and cute. Our babies have all grown so much since we got them. The youngest are now 4 weeks old.
So what are these???

Fritch, TX(Zone 6b)

well, the COLOR starts with a B, but the name comes from the state they originated in...

congrats! Molly wins some hatching eggs for shipping price... maybe next year when you dont' have your hands full of chicks and goats???

They are from Maria Hall's bloodline. Her Grandmother's flock went back over a hundred years!!! And Blue JGs came from there and Golda Miller... so i got a hatch from a flock of Blue's which produces 25% Blue, 25% Splash, 50% Black.

Actually, i had all this plus more info typed up originally, then lost it into cyberspccace and didn't have the strength or time to retype, so i thought a guessing game would be more fun...

i lost one blue pullet. so down to 18 [which is what i ordered, she included 2 extra], plus the one i hatched from my own flock last week. he was so lonely for siblings, then i put 19 in with him and he first tried to jump out of the brooder. he is adjusting LOL

here is her web site for nice photos and info:

Oooo I'd love some eggs to try and hatch out!
Hope most of your JG's make it for you. Too bad about that blue. I'm not sure why there is often one that can't survive.

Thanks!

chicks are fine.

for those of you who knew Carol Eads in Alaska, she has been relieved of her terminal brain cancer, and passed on...
