DH and I forgot to pick up licenses for the doggies. We just got busted! The animal control officers (or whatever they are) just came to the door. I made DH answer because I knew what it was about (lol, I'm sooo bad!). They do door-to-door checks here every now and then. I always wondered what the fine was for not having their license...well, now I know. It's $10. DH said the officers were nice about it and only fined us for one dog...rather than two. Petey will be getting a life time license and Baxter already has one...but Shiloh and Samson have to get theirs yearly. Sheesh. Has this ever happened to anyone else? I feel so stupid. Now we have to go to the District Magistrate and pay our fine. I'm sure they'll be stopping by to check on us every single time they are in our neighborhood now. DH said the officers told him "You have 10 days to pay or they come looking for you or something." LOL! This will never happen again....but somehow I just find it kinda funny...I have pics in my head of DH running from the police, dog leashes in hand, dogs running beside him panting, running, running, running, up through the woods trying to hide from the police and animal control officers...over a $10 fine.
Ok, now I have to go pay my fine and get some doggie licenses.
