May 7th Bloom (in KS)- Hot Ross-1st bloom

NE, KS(Zone 5b)

I got him from Matt Martindale last fall, I've been waiting and waiting and waiting.... I just love him! The bloom isn't as big as it will be once he gets a spot outside, but I love the color, a real attention getter, even growing all winter in the house...

There is another bud getting ready to open, too!

Now why didn't I order that one??????? It is a show stopper.

Probably because you ordered so many other ones, Ardesia. lol I got 3 others at the same time, still waiting for 1st blooms on one. It's pretty exciting for me, I'm in love! I can't believe it's even prettier today (above pics yesterday) it is darker, even MORE vivid... I'll snap another pic. WoooHooo-a 2 day bloomer!!!!!! Matt, if you see this post, I'm drooling a river up here! IMPRESSIVE!! - photo op, gotta go!

Very pretty bloom, AuntB. The bud is attractive too. Love the color.

Hi Aunt B,
Hot Ross isn't all that big. But, the more it blooms, the more neon the colors. One of my favs. You are gonna really love her when she gets going. I now own 3, lol.

I think he is kind of a scrawler, low and branchy. It's great, to set in front to be a spectacle. The pic is the bloom I longed for ALL winter (see, I'm patient), so it's been growing inside. Colors usually seemed muted or not as vivid growing inside, but this guy is shouting out vivid.. I never got back to him for a bloom pic of the 2nd day, -(lawn-mower guy came and that took the rest of the day). Wow, can't wait to get him outside, gorge him on food (and pull up a chair for the show).

Hot Ross is a neon beauty!! I just love those bright and gaudy flowers :-)

Why don't I have this one, Cat???? I must be slacking ;-)

Beautiful AuntB.

Thanks, Joyce ;) No hibiscus blooms right now. They are all waiting for me to get with the program... (repotted, more dedicated feeding schedule).. I can't wait for them to start pushing out buds.
