These were planted around a hotel I stayed at in the Washington D.C. area about three weeks ago. (mid April). I've never seen them before, can you help me identify them? They are quite small lilies, as you will see in the next photo. They had a light, sweet scent. These are growing at the base of some day lilies.
The flowers were only a few inches across.
Erythronium or dog tooth violet is one of the common names.
