*Help ASAP* Cat climbs tree to birds house

Does anyone know of an easy fix to stop a cat from climbing a tree? I've let my house cat (kitten), go outside some (with a bell on) & today he was eye to eye with the bluebirds in their house. I know cats do this but I love those birds too. Theres gotta be a way. Any thoughts?
