"when it rains, it pours"

Sometime yesterday or during the night before my automatic feeder (sweeney) fell into the water. Two big bolts, holding the arm from which it hangs, came out of a treated 4x4 post. Whatever food was in there dissolved. I guess the electronics and the battery are fried to. Now I will have a nice growth of algae just when I don't need it.

Sheesh. Hopefully trouble won't come in threes. You've had more than your share. Would your filtering equipment allow for temporary placement of mesh bags of activated carbon? I have used it in the past to remove medication and clear up tea color stained water. I keep a few jugs on hand in case of an accident. The carbon will pull all the excess nutrients out of the water in 24 hrs. or less depending on how much carbon you use.

Ok, I ordered 2 3.5 liter bottles with bags. Hopefully it won't take too long to matter.
