Ann, Welcome back! Nice to meet you. That's a gorgeous bloom. I fell in love with B. sanguinea the first time I saw a bloom. I might have been able to grow one in San Jose, but not here. Here they, at least for me, get about a foot high by the time the heat kicks in. They then kick the bucket. LOL

Pensacola, FL(Zone 8b)

Welcome back anne,

I do love the bloom it looks so perfect....LOL

Welcome back. Those of us in hotter climates really are envious of you and others that can grow sangs.

Thanks for the nice welcome.
It looks like its glowing, doesn't it? (the bloom)
I am sure all you warm clime people are growing more things that I am jealous of, than the reverse!
I am amazingly ignorant of most things brug, and tho i am at the end of my learning curve , the little suckers have lured me in long enough to wonder
a thing or two about them.
So i might ask a few questions along the summer. :-)
Again nice to meetcha

Nice to meet you Anne!!! I have some sang seeds that I got thru mail-order but haven't started them yet altho, seeing the beautiful color, I've got to seriously get them growing! How did you start you sang seeds (i.e. did you soak first, did you peel the "cork"...)?

Just "ME", Jan

Tyler, TX(Zone 8a)

Welcome back. I sure wish I could grow them here but way to hot.

Again, thanks all for the nice welcome.
Jan,I didn't do a darn thing. I planted it (the seed..that my neighbor gave me...she had bought a seedling at Annie's Annuals years ago) right into the dirt. That was about 5 years ago.I have 2 volunteers from this plant! It seems to like it here.
