Question

Macon, IL(Zone 5b)

I have a question - how long do you give your cuttings bottom heat once they have formed roots? My DL cuttings have finally put on some roots - I've kept them in the "hoya hut" on a heating mat. All but two of my DL cuttings made it - I lost PNG6 and panchoi. I think the others will make it.

Thanks!

Karen...if I have room on the mats, and if it is cold and rainy here, I leave them be. if it is warm and they look perky, I put them on the benches....

Thanks, Carol. We've had a hard time warming up this spring here in Illinois - it'll get warm for a day or two, then cold again. Just can't quite get there. So I think I'll let the cuttings stay on the mat for a little while longer!

Thanks!

Aw Sis K, you have to use bottom heat for your hoya babies:-)?. I just put mine in a tray with a humdity dome over it and set it under plant grow lights. All of my cuttings have rooted.

Well, now you're just showing off, Sis A!! LOL LOL!!! Yes, sadly, Illinois weather requires that I substitute with products what you have outside your door!! sigh.....maybe some day...... (LOL)
