Indigo Bunting sighting

Last week while working in our community garden here at Shannondell near Valley Forge, I experienced two sightings of an Indigo Bunting. A first-time for me!! Such a vibrant color!! I've lived for 30 years just 5 miles from here & never saw one in that neighborhood..

Aren't they the prettiest bird? They seem very sweet & docile! I have had one around for about 2 weeks and am thrilled each morning he is still here! Except for their color they remind me very much of the sweet little Juncos!

yes, indeed... it WAS a special treat for me!! And, you're probably correct that now that I'm somewhat attuned to their beauty, I will probably see them more often. Let's hope so!
