Okay since we are talking projects - I thought I would share mine for the outdoors. Today I went over to my parent's house and me and my dad cut all the wood and I sanded it all of course.......for my new pergola! I can't wait! Tomorrow I am going over to stain it and hopefully in the next few weekends it will be up and in use!! We are building at 12 x 12 pergola and I plant on planting a couple clematis to go up the 2 posts that are near my garden....I will post photo's as my project moves along....
However right now my whole project is cut up and sitting in my dad's garage waiting to be put together!!! LOL

That sounds as if it will be such a lovely peaceful place when you get it done. I love pergolas but my yard is just too small.

Dawn..your so lucky to have Dad around and never take advantage of the time you have, as I just lost mine recently and it was so quick..within 2 weeks, thats it. He was driving everywhere and doing everything..had a hobby farm with tons of animals/gardens etc...all of a sudden gone...Cherish your family while you can..and sorry but didnt mean to make this about me....hope you dont think that

Oh Sydney I am sorry for your huge loss! It is funny because growing up dad worked so much that he didn't spend too much time with us but now as he has grown older and so have I - we have become "friends" as well. I truly do appreciate the time I spend with my father - I know he won't be around forever. Thanks for sharing your story though - it does make me take note once again how lucky I am to have my "daddy" around. Hey and I will have no trouble giving him a hug for ya - he loves hugs hehehe!

Great cant wait to see the pics, its supposed to be 30C today..ugh...as I have to work and cant enjoy the day, but will be good for the plants I suppose. Already watered everything and its hot here already.

Wow! A first class job, there, Dawn. What are the iron trellis for? (btw, what is the plural for trellis??) Will you be growing vines in containers up them?

I am working on it...got one pot up today and my clematis planted....also put a hanging fairey inside - too cute! Just wait I will have more photo's in the next few weeks!!!

Wow....It looks so great and cant wait to see what you grow on it...give your daddy another hug okay!...reminds me of my daddy and what he would always do on the spur of the moment...build or jackhammer stuff he had already built and start something new..that was alway spectacular....
