I want to thank everyone who traded and gave me seeds this winter. My health has been in the dumpster, and successfully starting seeds for the first time in my life has cheered me tremendously. They need to be planted out but they are just so cute I hate to part with them, like watching my grandkids grow up too fast. May your every day be filled flowers!
Gentle hugs & big thanks!
I am so sorry about you being sick. Hope you are getting on the mend. Yes, I also find starting seeds can be a big boost in feelings.
*hugs* back, Cathy! I hope this summer finds you and your plants thriving. :-)
Cathy is the seed starting going for you?
Happily I can report that most of the seeds are now plants and some flowers, and I'm a bit better and can get out in the yard in the morning. Many marigold plants are blooming at my church, how neat to see them and know they started from little seeds. Some have become mystery plants as I foolishly used a sharpie marker when I winter sowed them, and the writing faded. But since I have whole pots of the same thing, I know they aren't weeds, lol. Thank you all again!
So glad you are improving may you improve every day and enjoy all your flowers..

What is the beautiful blue flower in your 1st post? And is that blooming from Winter sowing this year?
Pam, it is my fav spring flower, I'm not sure of the spelling, but I think it is scilla or squilla. The little flowers turn into dangled seed pods about the size of a marble and they gradually spread.
Cathy I love those and have a few and I like the white ones too. BEV
I've seen those sold as bulbs but not from seed. Are the ones in the picture from seed? How long does it take for them to start blooming from the seeds?
Pam, I bought them originally in a cheapo sack of bulbs in a clearance bin somewhere. I was in my "blue" stage and bought anything and everything that was blue, haha. I don't know how long they take from seed because I've never intentionally planted them. The new ones just show up in spring as a delightful surprise.
Cathy, your flowers look to be Scilla siberica Siberian Squill 'Spring Beauty'.
Thanks!
You're welcome.
