LOL, actually I just thought I would post only a couple this time.
I did order two RIR's and I have 4 redish birds, I can't identify so I'm not sure which ones are the reds.. but it doesn't matter, their all really cool!
Are we needing some updated photos ?
And now for little Nemo..
I think he is a Barred Rock Bantum.. I did order a Barred Rock, and I received one.. and it looks like Nemo's twin, just 4 timex her size. lol
Her wings are about half the size of one of the silkies and she is smaller than any of the silkies.. other than wing and tail feathers she still has very pretty down.. everybody else is looking like they took a trip to the blender.
So either ther is something really wrong with her, which doesn't slow her down in the least.. or they threw in a mini bantum.
And then we have Simon!!!
(the white Silkie, Randy is the Black Silkie right behind Simon, Paula is our little red Silkie.. no pick of her right now.)
Yep named after the man who says what is on his mind!!! I started to name him General Tso.. but that just wasn't strong enough... was looking for someone that was a bit more of an.. a-----butt. Please note.. he is prancing on his toes.. chest out looking to bump anyone in his way.. including the chicks that are WAY bigger than he... don't care, because.. frankly.. if you don't mind me saying... your in my space! And there right behind him... is Randy... Simon's wing man... running after Simon, bumping anyone Simon doesn't...
What a bunch of cuties you have.
Have any idea what the white one in the last picture is? Its about in the center of the picture. Does it have darker legs by chance? We have one that looks similar that we have no clue what it is and it has darker legs like our Ameraucanas.
Hi
I am far from an expert on chicken, the white one looks to be a silkie or silkie mix, I noticed an very nicely spaced extra toe and black skin. I hope you end with a beauty!
frans530--Hmmm? Trying to figure out the RIR situation. Neither of my RIR have any barring on their feathers. Did you get any unbarred red pullets?
I love the way the top two look--what are they? I wonder too:0)
love that family portrait, fran!
