There is such a variety of feeders for our little jeweled friends. From the plastic practical to beautiful blown glass.
We invite you show us your feeders, and maybe tell us what you like about it!
This is my Aspects HummZinger Ultra - I like it so well because there is no dripping, it's so easy to take part and clean. It also has a built-in ant moat!
Another plus is that it is excellent for taking pics. There are no blocked shots.

Show Us Your Hummingbird Feeders
Great job nanny! Thank You!
Remember folks you don't have to have a Hummingbird in the shot; this is just about the feeder itself. So don't be shy; lets see your feeders!
Okay I'm off to get some pics of mine. :-)
Do you know the names of your Mrs Ed?
This one is my new one… it has a built-in ant moat, which I think is genius.
It is Birdscapes' Deluxe Rose petal.
On the above, the oval is Opus and has two feeding holes. The clear part is glass.
The smaller one on the left is First Nature. It's all plastic, but is easy to clean. The tube is a wide mouth.
The larger on the right is a Perky Pet 209 (30 oz.) The tube is glass.
I've seen the birds drink from all of these. The oval one is drippy though.
I have that one (last pic) Mrs Ed but its a Perky Pet Rose Petal feeder and its the favorite of my hummmers!
I think I might need therapy. I have all but one of these feeders shown so far!
Pelle.... that one is my hummers' fave, too... and it was the least expensive of the bunch. Other than the aspects feeder, it's also the easiest to clean and fill.

That is nice!
Cool feeders everyone and Nanny thanks for starting the new thread! I also have two of the flat sauces like yours and do love the ease of cleaning. And you are right...they can't hide!! (duh, didn't even think of that)!
Right, i better get one of those, because I think that the hummers always know to be on the opposite side of where I'm shooting.
Why would you need therapy Judy????? :)
I don't know, nanny.. could I have TOO MANY hummingbird feeders and hummingbird plants?!?!?!
Judy goes for Collectors Therapy. :-)
I'm like the crazy cat lady of the bird world.
If anybody spots a good deal on those Hummzingers -- please post! I've been hoping to find one locally without paying $50 for it at a specialty shop... but I might have to just order a couple and pony up for shipping. That Perky Pet one should be easier to find -- I'm guessing Home Depot or WalMart. :-)
The pretty glass ones with the spouts on the bottom like Mrs Ed's last photo seem to work best if you have a sheltered, shady spot to hang them. If you hang them in a warm/sunny spot, they drip... a lot!
It's $19.95 at Duncraft for the Ultra one.

I was shopping around on the internet before this thread ever got posted. Can you say 'great minds'??
Hummzinger Excel (16 oz.) $14.29; reasonable shipping

I have several of the Perky Pet wide mouth feeders: empty, wash, refill: 5 minutes, tops. But I want to scatter more feeders around the yard, so this Hummzinger with the built-in moat will be perfect!
yep, I think I'll have to get one too!!!
Mima, that's a nice price! Thanks! Have you ordered yours yet?
Our hummers don't go through the nectar very fast, so even 8 oz feeders work fine for us. Several scattered feeders are better; I agree!
We have four of these feeders that we have two in the front and two in the back. Gotta have the ones with the perches, cuz they love to be able to sit and rest while they're sipping and drinking.

Critter, I don't totally fill my large Perky Pet feeders yet. I only put @ 2 cups sugar water in each right now. My hummers don't seem to fight as much when they can drink farther away from each other on a feeder. Too, with their wide mouths, these feeders are SO much easier to clean when it gets hot and mildew tries to grow. I really dislike having to use one of those bottle brush thing-ies to clean a feeder!
Right now, my hummers all fight over the Oriole feeders, though they have the same sugar mixture in them. Go figure!
I thought those HummZinger feeders looked really easy to clean -- even the little 8 oz ones! I'm even tempted to pay a couple bucks more for an extra purty one... :-)
I have ordered two of the big Hummzingers plus an Oriole feeder made the same way. Of course, the Orioles will probably have moved on before my order arrives, but the hummers will probably love all of the feeders!
How did birds exist before all these wonderful products???
I have 3 of the 8 oz hummzingers and one 16 oz one. I got rid of all my other hard to clean ones. I love them. I think I'll get a 12 oz one too. The 16 isn't as popular as the 8 oz ones. It gets so hot here I have to change syrup almost daily in the summer. With the 8 oz, not much gets wasted. The ant moats work great unless the other birds have drunk the water out!!!
Mima...
The people at Aspects have SUPER customer service as well... I bought my feeder at a store here in town. A week later, a (insert cuss word here) squirrel had chewed on the ports, leaving gnaw marks. I called Aspects and they sent me a new lid, no questions asked. I was VERY impressed. You don't see that kind of customer service often anymore.
Mima...awesome pic of the feeder and the delightful Hummers! Congrats on posting your first pic...now we need more!
Judy, How nice to know! Sounds just like the folks at Bluestone Perennials. OOPS! That's for another thread......
That's a pretty one!
Rita...I had one of those pretty ones last year and the Orioles pulled out all the petals and broke them!! I couldn't figure out what was pulling them out and throwing them on the front porch! I had Oriole feeders this year!
I have two like the first feeder in the thread. Though one is quite faded from the sun, hummers love it.
Now for another question...I want an oriole feeder but don't have any idea of what to get. I've been putting out oranges for two weeks and nothing. Bought the grape jelly. Haven't even seen an oriole feeder at Home Depot or Lowes, and our local great birding store only had one bad one.
Rose, glad to hear you are okay. Storms were mild by the time they got here, but we did get half an inch of rain. Having lived in KC area for 15 years, though, I know that Kansas and Missouri gets all the good weather!
Knock on wood, lol. Last time I said "a tornado wouldn't hit twice in the same place?" lightning hit the building ten seconds later and a chandelier dropped behind me (at DaShea's in case Tobasco is lurking).
