Hello everyone! I don't know why I haven't posted this before, but I was reminded of it when I received a handy pocket-sized version of this document. This is a guide to invasive species in the Tampa Bay area, but some of them might relate to your area as well. Of course, some of them may be just fine in your region. For example, last year when I was in WV I couldn't believe all the castor bean plants I saw! Dad explained they were a form of organic pest control. However, in FL they escape gardens and you see them on the side of the road and in medians. It reminds me of the saying used around here to promote "Florida Friendly" gardens - "Right plant, right place." I also like that this guide provides native plants you can substitute instead of using one of these invasives.
