Best time to take cuttings

Hello all,

I have several NOID brugs that I would like to take cuttings from to root and give to my dad for father's day. Is it a good time to take cuttings from them now or do I need to wait? Is there a certain place I need to take the cuttings from? Someone told me that the cuttings have to be taken from above the "Y". Is that so? Thanks in advance.

Take some now ...if they are to flower this season take them from above the Y ...good luck
