Not TROPICANNA, I have plenty of that.
I am after Red Durban, the flowers are very red and the leaves darker than Tropicanna. Does anyone have that? I know we can come to an agreement on trade, I have lots of things not on my trade list, so please dmail me!
Been wanting it for a long time but it is elusive and there are a few places out there claiming to be selling it but I just don't trust that they have the real deal- besides seeing several get swindled trying to find same canna,.....so please, no links to where I can purchase it, thanks :o)

I have a canna that the leaves are a dark green, and the blooms look really red to me, the start came from the college at Las Cruses. Do you know where I could look at a picture of the one you are wanting to see if it looks like mine? Or I can send you the last rhyzome I have of mine in a bubble envelope and you can give it a good home even if its not what you are looking for. Susan
Hi Susan, you can scroll thru the canna in plantfiles for your own personal benefit but it is unlikely what you have is the plant I'm after, it is very uncommon. I have no room to grow out canna that I am not interested in :(

I had some canna durban rhyzomes in the garage.. now I can't find them. I bought them last month at Sams Club.. they came in a bag with EE's.. I am afraid Dad may have tossed them by mistake.. been looking for a couple weeks for them. If I come across them and they are still good, I will send you one. I was really surprised to find them. They said Durban and the picture on the package was definitely Durban. I have tropicanna so I know the difference.

Ah.......but you can never tell until they grow out! Can't wait to see if you have the red durban or not Tammie. You find them, grow them out and if it is we'll make a nice trade :)
The picture's look like the one's that I grew last year. I'll keep a watch on the two beds I have of them this year and when they bloom and get good leaves I'll take a picture and post it, if I think they look like what you are wanting. I'm not real good at telling the difference of all the ones that are nearly the same color. And the college grows a lot of different ones of each plant. Susan
