A new season

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

I am so excited about this brug. growing season. I have had my first seedling bloom. Actually it is a seeding I planting in 2007 that had it's first bloom in the greenhouse overwinter. This cross is Golden Lady x Earth Angel. This is it's first flush and it has a strong frangrance of Baby powder. Right now it is throwing double and single blooms, so I will be holding it over to see what it does throughout the summer.

SOOOOO pretty... thanks for sharing the pics!

So if you get double and single blooms on the same plant does that mean it is sporting and you take cuttings from the part that threw the double or does it mean that it is unstable and you have to wait for it to settle into it's flowering pattern?
Gosh it is pretty ...and from a seedling ...fantastic

Chrissy, I will wait and let this one settle in to see for sure what it is going to do. It is now throwing double and triple blooms.

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

chrissy, I have B. Knightii which has a tendency to throw both doubles and singles at the same time. In its case, it has nothing to do with it being a sport and more to do with the weather and the cultivar itself.

Patricia, the form on this is great. I hope she settles down for you. It looks like she may be a keeper for you. Are there any triple pinks around?

Tulsa, OK(Zone 7a)

Its really so lovely.. remember i love brug seeds to try.lol. great pictures to.

Fort Lauderdale, FL(Zone 10b)

Throwing singles as well as doubles is quite common. There are many brugs that do this, especially when they are young. You may find that as she matures you'll get more doubles and less singles. At least that has been my experiance. That's a pretty flower there. Congratulations!!

Thank you all for your kind comments. I have a couple more of this cross yet to bloom, so I will be looking forward to seeing what they produce.

Brooklyn, NY(Zone 7b)

OH Baby.. Lovely Patricia.. I never tire of a lovely pink... and it sounds as it will only get better for her...
wonder where I could find an Earth Angel.. I'd so love to have a bit of one.. My cousin in Jackson is is a musical group Earth Angel.. it would be a perfect gift for him... Earth Ange is a retro 60's girl fronted band...and they do their reworks of some of the best girl fronted groups best songs..and they have anastounding presentation .. it is difficult to equal or better the origional work on these songs that were so big for us back then..
Anyway.. I'd love to have one.. for him and his lovely place there just outside of Jackson..if anyone knows a location

That's all I remember of it. But I did buy a seed cross of Earth Angel and something else from Brenda so she may have your Earth Angel.
