Source for copper screening?

Danville, IN

I can't seem to find a source for what I think is copper screening that is used at the base of decorative waterfalls to minimize splashing. I'm sure I've seen them in the past, especially for indoor water features, not usually outside ponds. Maybe there is a different product. Anyone familiar with what to use? Thanks.

I have used it in the past for commercial purposes. It's great used as a screen for drains in commercial freezers. It would be toxic to fish of course for outdoor pond use.

After being told by my supplier that it was no longer begin made I found this!

I'm curious. Could you reconfigure and use a Chore Boy as a substitute?

Thanks for the source snapple45! What is a Chore Boy?

A copper pot scrubber. Available at most grocery stores. While very good at their intended purpose, they have an unfortunate application in the use of illicit drugs. I would not purchase more than one at a time at any one store. I would be afraid of "funny looks".

I should explain. First: A Chore Boy is a pot scrubber that is made out of copper. Second: We have family who are law enforcement.

Oh-h-h-h! Got'cha. Now I understand. Thanks for the info and the tip!

A few years back I had a 'frog spitter' and the little pump it was connected to had a dial on the side of it to control the amount of water it pumped out. Maybe yours has that and you can turn it down a bit to stop the splashing.

Oh, I really want the full fall effect, for sure. It falls almost 7 feet. After snapple45's idea of a pot scrubber, I noticed just today that a fountain in a mall used what looked like long scrubber mat material for controlling the splashing! Clever. I plan to try this out.
