What should we all have in our first aid poultry/care kit?

Woodsville, NH

I know we have gone over this before. I know I could use a refresher. I have blue coat, pure unprocessed honey, alcohol (not booze but for sterilizing things!) electrolytes for poultry powder, Terramycin Soluble Powder, cloth medical tape flesh colored (if possible), packing clear tape (for curly toed chicks), a can of starting fluid* ether, for those chicks that cannot be helped, heatlamp and housing for sick chicks and chickens, a large carrier or cage for isolating sick or injured and I bought Permethrin 10% Liquid plus Poultry Protector just in case we get lice or mites. I already ordered DE to dust everything so fingers crossed we don't get mite or lice. From what I read they are everywhere and if you free range you will get them, especially with silkies so I want to be prepared! So I will be using the Poultry Protector and DE, both are natural insecticide free and I have permethruin on hand just in case.
I was thinking of adding a injectable antibotic and syringes this year plus a no peck coating. Does anyone have any recommendations? I was trying to figure out a broad spectrum antibotic plus I figure if I buy it I will never use it! I have had to give shots to several rescue birds so that doesn't freak me out.

Okay--I am copying this all down--didn't Mel use "Newskin" on the chick with the infected umbilicus?

Is this more for new chicks or in general for all birds?

On a web page they mentioned bathing chickens in Adams mite and flea shampoo to prepare them for shows. I did find this stuff in the pet section at Walmart. Wouldn't that help with those two bugs?

All chickens and yes Adams is suppose to kill mites and lice. I would also like something I could spray in the hen house in the corners etc and something to sprinkle in their dust holes to prevent also.

Well, when I was looking for DE at my local supply store, they told me that Garden and Poultry Dust works great too. It's a powder that you put on them, or on the floor, and it should repel or kill mites, ticks, fleas,...etc. I tryed it on a few hens/roo and it seemed to work just find. If you google image it, you can see what I'm talking about.

can you tell me what is the blue coat?

http://www.americanlivestock.com/p-99-blu-kote.aspx It also hides any blood or redness so the other chickens don't keep picking it open.
