Help! My "wonderful" puppy completely tore my baby lilac (primrose?) out of the pot it was in.
I picked up as many pieces as I could, dipped them in rooting hormone and put them in water.
Do I have a chance of saving it - or a cutting anyway? Should I put it in a potting medium?
I should also say that I just got it, Im not sure how old it is but its (was) about 1 foot tall ;(
Thanks

My DH used to routinely mow down my lilac no matter how big a stake I would plant to indicate that there was a future big lilac tree there. (He had to move the stake to mow, and ....) Finally I learned, and I'm growing it up high, where he can't reach, in a big pot until it's big enough not to be mistaken for very tall grass, even for someone with cataracts and bad eyes. This is not advice, just sympathy. xx, Carrie
