Has everyone been following the adventures of Aunt Bett? Sharon Brown has been writing on Dave's about her Aunt Bett, who was a mountain medicine woman. Terrific stories! This week it is about bed bugs and plantain.

Yes, she is a great story teller, isn't she. I have enjoyed them too!
Sharon is a dear friend of mine and I'm so glad that she's sharing her stories with ya'll. She's also a very talented artist who creates some beautiful things. We've known each other over 30 years.
No, I hadn't seen any of the stories!! I just started to get the newsletter not long ago. Are they in archives? Thanks for the mention, Herbalbetty!!
I went and found the May 1, 2008 article, "There's Always a Reason." Nice article!!
It sort of hit me........are you the Aunt Bett?? The "mountain medicine woman" description sounds just like you!!
HAHAHA! No, I'm 45, I do believe Aunt Bett lived during the 40s and 50s, before I was born. And my nephews don't call me Aunt Bett, but something entirely different... But I do like to think of myself as a "mountain medicine woman", thanks Foxnfirefly
Hi Herbies!! Will somebody help me find these articles by Sharon Brown? I have done DG searches, but without her user name, I get way too many hits.
I am specifially looking for the one on Monarda and Oswego tea, but once I have her user name, or the forum, I can find them easily.
Hi Tab!!!
Thanks,
Suzy
Her user name is Sharran. Look under the tab at the top of the page called Guides & Information, then click on articles and look for the Aunt Bett stories.
Suzy ~ here they are. They are a fun read! http://davesgarden.com/guides/articles/by.php?user=Sharran
Thank you sooo much, Podster! It was driving me crazy, and thanks for the generic way, too, Herbal, I never knew how to find those articles once they scrolled off the home page!
I was lucky this thread popped up in my search for Aunt Bett!
