with thanks to beautiful plants from Robert. Several months ago I trimmed and repotted my older plants so it will be another month or so before I see their flowers.

Night Runner
Having fun in the sunroom...
Oh my gosh, Misty is a doll. What breed is she? I'm not up on all the breeds available now. Your hibiscus are pretty too. I'd love to order a Misty from you. LOL!
Just kidding....

Yikes!, those are beautiful!
Tussee - your NightRunner is so gorgeous!!
Shirley, my other "puppy" golden Daisy, would love to give Misty to you. The little thing throws herself at Daisy, climbs over her barking and bouncing, and dear Daisy is so patient with her. Misty is a Maltese and should max out in weight around 5 lbs. Here is a picture of the two of them during a rare moment of stillness for Misty.
Sunshines2day, I'm pleased you like the photos as I've had the plants a very short time and really did not expect to see much from the first blooms. Blueberry Thrill is only about a foot high but has three more blooms on the way.

Daisy and Misty Love
Tussee, your Nightrunner is beautiful, but sadly cannot compare to either of your two canine friends ;-) They are just cute as can be!
karen
Beautiful picture of your canine babies. To get both of them to look at you at the same time is amazing.
Amanda and Karen, I so appreciate your compliments on the flowers as both of you have been a real inspiration in keeping me up on the newest and prettiest hibs. available for sale.
Tussee
Oh my, all Daisy has to do is sneeze and Misty Love will end up in another county! LOL. How cute is she. And Daisy is a beauty too! Funny, I was just wondering if you had gotten your puppy yet. I was going to email you. I was just out watering when the man from across the street came out with his.....guess what........ 4 month old Maltese who looks like your beautiful Misty Love. I need to get a picture to show you. Maybe fate is telling me I too need a Maltese.
Didn't you tell me they do not shed? Why else did you decide on a Maltese? Besides of course her incredible great looks!
We are having a crisis here. Or I should say I am. Tom finally set up my new monitor he bought me for Christmas along with my new computer in my office. But it is distorting all my pictures. It stretches them. Tom went from my hero for setting it up (he even color calibrated it) to a bad guy within a few seconds. He insists the pictures are not distorted. I think that it code for "I am done." I can't believe everyone who has a 22 inch flat screens looks at distorted pictures. WOE IS ME!!
Oh to be Miss Tussee with her new dog, her new hibiscus and her new sunroom and a monitor that does not distort her pictures!
Oh Kell, you always make me laugh. You've got it all my friend, even a distorted 22" screen. Do what I do on anything mechanical...call in a technician and be done with it. Sweetheart cannot put two wires together but he put us together so I consider him the smartest man in town. Sounds like Tom is the smartest man in your town for setting up your computer, so relax and let a technician do some fine tuning and get rid of the distortion. A 22" screen...you will have to move your head from side to side to view everthing!
Since I was a small child I have had a love affair with white-haired animals. I've had white Persians, toy Poodle, a Samoyed, and two other white-haired dogs when I was small but cannot remember their breeds at the moment. Misty's color had much to do with her selection. Her size, temperment (excellent), and non-shedding attributes, as well as being known as very intelligent, also helped me to decide on a Maltese.
Tussee
Tussee, your nightrunner is outstanding. And Misty is adorable. I bet Daisy isn't too happy right now, lol.
We were thinking about getting another puppy, but I think 4 cats and 1 dog is plenty!!!!
Cat4gp, what a nice compliment coming from you on my NightRunner!
I've had little time lately to comment on the wonderful blooms you and others show us...usually check in for a minute before going to bed and feel too tired to do anything but read and look at so many fabulous blooms. I would love to have them all, but that's not possible so I must be content to enjoy your collection...and that I do!
Poor Daisy. We bring Misty with us in the social room at night while we watch evening news, and close off all doors so she cannot explore the house. That means Daisy is also a captive and last evening she had had enough. She went to one of the SR doors and wanted out...anywhere away from the little monster.
Tussee
Tussee, usually the appearance of stretching is caused by the resolution setting that the computer was last set to. If it's a Windows computer you could try going to Control Panel and then Monitors and then select from the different resolutions that are offered to find the one that looks best to you. That's what Cindy says, and she's pretty good with all things computer such as building my web site at Hidden Valley Hibiscus. Good luck!
Charles
Thank you, Charles, for the computer information and I have saved it in my how-to computer file. Hopefully Kel will check back in on this thread and read how to take care of her issues. We all want Tom to regain his "Hero" status.
Tussee
Oh Tussee, your hibs and your dogs are all beautiful, you have grown them well. :-))))
Misty is a little doll but Daisy caught my eye; what a magnificent GR she is. We had a gorgeous golden for close to 17 years and they will always hold a special place in my heart. No shedding trumps all at my age however. LOL Lucky you to have such a sweet little baby girl.
Miss Daisy and I thank you for the compliments. Sweetheart told me 7 years ago he guessed he would never have the dog he always wanted as he was getting too old for a new puppy. Well, Santa went to work that year and Daisy appeared on Christmas. She is at the top of our list for being so wonderful and all we worry about with her is someone stealing her from the yard. That has gone on around here, and for a dog who loves everyone, she could be an easy target. We try to be with her whenever she's out, but when we cannot, she is very good at doing her business and then coming straight to the door to be let back in. So smart in so many ways. Oh ardesia, I can only hope we are allowed to enjoy Daisy for 17 years. How very fortunate for you to have had your baby for so long.
Tussee
We knew we were fortunate. Chipper was a large GR, over 100 lbs and we were told early on that 8 - 10 years was the max because of his size. Boy did we show the *experts* !!!!!
I don't know a thing about dog breeding but to my eyes, Daisy has beautiful conformation and a drop dead gorgeous coat. But, I should have known anything in your home would be beautiful, even your puppies. Can I come live with you?????
I spent at least 4 months finding Daisy. I talked with the President of the local GR group so many times she and I became good friends. Best thing I could do was learn the GR standards so I would know a good puppy when I saw it, as well as evaluate as best as possible her lineage. Hip issures are big with goldens, so I delved deep once I had narrowed down to three breeders. They dreaded hearing my voice on the phone, lol. Did the same thing with Misty Love. I can currently say I know every little Maltese for sale on the internet, and believe so many are not worth the asking price. They are all so sweet it's hard being objective, but I now can get that monkey off of my back and relax. For better or worse, Misty is here to stay.
I would love having you come and stay, ardesia. So few local people garden like we do...they might start strong but once the garden is going, there is no interest in new plants; or too often, do not keep up with what has been done. I guess it's called priorities...
Tussee
I must kiss Charles!!! I have been going nuts here. My husband was going to properties and changing the resolution there but it would not go as high as it is supposed to go, only to 1280 x 1024. A little window would come up and say optimal resolution is 1680 by 1050.
So he said we needed to get a new video card.
So I just went to the Control Panel instead as told and changed it to the highest it would go which was 1600 by 1024. So still not up to what the box wants but I guess close enough for my pictures are back to looking normal and so are my words and everything is not stretched out. KISS KISS KISS! I was going to have my husband give me back my old monitor when he got home today. Oh what a relief it is.
So I thank you and Cindy so very much. Ask Cindy if it would be better if I could get it up to 1680 by 1050. Is the answer a new video card, what ever that may be! Also please ask Cindy if she knows anything about cable TV boxes, the other thorn in my side.
Hey Tussee, if Alice is coming to live with you, so am I!!! I love Alice! My bags are packed and I am ready to leave. I will be in charge of your sunroom. And Misty Love. Heck, maybe Daisy too. I showed Tom both your dogs last night though I showed him Daisy first because she is just a gorgeous dog. I called her regal! What a coat she has. So I guess if I want a Maltese I best get you to pick one out for me. And also aren't you the one that told me you are not so great at internet research??? So not true!
And PS Charles is my new and only hero. Shoot, Tom left me today with this HUGE problem. He put a SOS call out to our son who of course never called back. I told Tom that the kid NEVER EVER has helped me with my many computer issues over the years. Paying for Stanford's computer engineering program for 4 years was a total flop of an investment. Besides, Charles has fancy hibiscus too. Tom does not stand a chance.
Kell, you always bring a smile (actually a giggle) to my face!!! We should both go and live at Tussee's. It would be so nice to be living in a clean, beautiful home with beautiful puppies, flowers and people.
I can commiserate with your son not giving you computer help. My oldest son heads up the IT dept. for an IT company and he can't ever figure out how to answer my computer questions.
We are 99 % done with the remodeling and I have my housekeeper coming tomorrow to help me clean up the drywall and saw dust that is everywhere. Now I have to stop buying hibiscus and start looking for new furniture and that is almost as much fun as looking at flowers. :-)))
Kell--if you're happy with how your pics look on your screen, I wouldn't bother with the new video card. All it will do is give you higher resolution but if you think your pics look fine the way they are then it's probably more trouble than it's worth to try and upgrade when you probably wouldn't even notice the difference. (I'm by no means an expert however!)
