Canadians - Mountain View Tropicals

I am Strep shopping and have run across this site. Looks like they have a very nice variety of Gessies, Hoyas, and other interesting plants. They don't ship to the US so I'm out of luck, but thought it might be a good source for some of our Canadian Gessie Buddies. They have no feedback in the Garden Watchdog, so if you order, please be sure to post feedback for them. That's what made me think they might be a newer company you haven't heard of. ^_^

I ordered streps from Out of Africa today. I haven't bought streps from him before but I was very happy with the kohlerias I bought from him last spring.

I did the one where he chooses the plants and then they are $3.50 a piece. I took a chance with that option and I'm hoping that at least half of them are ones I don't have yet!! My cousin and I are going to split the order and she has just a few streps so we are gambling this method works for us this once!

Brenda, my very first order was from Gary so that is where my first 20 streps came from.............and I loved them..........you have some of them at your house because I got a lot of them from GAry. He is a good strep grower.....nice big plants......

I am excited to get my first streps from him! I know the kohlerias I got from him were such nice sized plants! So healthy and half of them came with buds on them!

You can be sure I'll post pictures when they come. He said he'd ship in about two weeks!

I am going to order from him this summer for a fall sale and be ordering 40 of them but I don't get to pick the names as he is offering them for 3.50 each if he chooses . Since I am growing them for the club sale, I figure I can grab a leaf from the ones I can't live without!!!

he is one of the best strep growers there is. hisplants are always beautiful. i see him every month as he belongs to the same gessie group that i belong to,i get alot of plants from him.

Thanks for that great recommendation mrsbonnie! I'm sure he would appreciate your supportive comments! I know that although I ordered dealers choice with Kohlerias last year I added a note that I liked yellow in my blooms and he went out of his way to see that over half of what he sent had yellow in the blooms. I was very impressed!

Kim I had that Museum of Art on my list and then I started thinking on saving money and getting my cousin to order with me and went with dealers choice, so now it will be the luck of the draw. But you can bet I'll be doing a happy dance if it comes LOL and I'll get you one started for sure!!

I'm going to have LOTS of things this fall.
I'm STARTING to see success now but had lots of failures over the winter so now I have to make up for it and HOPE that by fall things will be ready to share :)
