I started seeds of Lychnis yunnanensis last year and this year it flowered for the first time (see photo below). I am hooked on this genus, can't wait to try more of them. I hope this plant makes a bunch of seeds so I can propagate more plants!

If you still want Lychnis Chalcedonica I have quite a bit of that. let me know.

Velmansia, I have Lychnis chalcedonica alba, white maltese cross. It just has started flowering. I cannot remember if I have saved seeds of it in 2007. If you like some seeds please give me a note some later in the season.

That's a pretty one, Saya!

Yes Gerris, I find it pretty too. In Netherlands we call Lychnis chalcedonica 'Brandende Liefde' (transl. 'Burning Love'). So this is White Burning Love. But what is white burning love...?? Love in mystical ways..I guess..? I will gladly collect some seeds for you, if you like.

Your Lychnis yunnanensis looks very pretty too!

Saya, I got some seeds and was waiting to see if they would germinate before accepting your offer. Are these seeds difficult to germinate? So far, none of the ones that I sowed are growing.

Saya, that is very interesting information about the white Lychnis! I have seeds I could trade of the Lychnis yunnanensis if you want them. LMK ok?

Antioch, TN

Saya, I did receive some seeds but nothing grew. Do you still have seeds to offer or trade?

Horn, Netherlands(Zone 8b)

Hi Velmansia and Gerris2, seedpods are ripening for you.. Gerris2, thank you for your offer..wish I have a bigger garden..my space is soooo limited..it cannot contain all those beauties..but I' ll gladly send seeds.

Thanks Saya.

velmansia; seeds take a while I kept records of mine and it was 21 days to germination Megan O

Antioch, TN

Megan, I started mine in April and I eventually dumped the soil out in June. Nothing grew.

Thank you, Saya! Let me know if you see anything I am growing that interests you (see morning glory forum).

Velmansia, I think these seeds need a cold period before germinating. I refrigerated mine.

Antioch, TN

LiliMerci, thanks for that input. When I do get some seeds, I will sow them in the fall so that they will be in the ground during the Winter

Velmansia, let me look and see if I have any more seeds. If I do, I'll send them out tomorrow.

Antioch, TN

Thank you!!
I will make sure to keep them in the refrigerator until fall and then I will direct sow.

I found the seeds but I don't have a lot left, so the instructions I got said 21-30 days and pre-chill seeds for 14 days. Take a look at these instructions:

did you ever get some sweet pea seeds. I have some.

Antioch, TN

Thanks LiliMerci, I covered the seeds that I sowed so that's another reason why they did not germinate.

I had some old fashioned sweetpea seeds that I received but I gave mine away. I have limited space so no room for vines
