What kind of ducks/geese do you raise

I just bought some toulouse and some african grey geese goslings.

What kind do you raise? do you sell the babies?

Well - I don't raise to sell babies....or even to have babies.... :)
I have Pekins, Golden Cascades, and a Rouen hen. I just got rid of
a Cayuga and Khaki Campbells.....

I have ducks to keep my pond clean. It was overrun with weeds and algae - and
no chemical would touch it.....So - someone suggested ducks - and my pond is soooo
clean! I just wish I had taken a "before" picture!

I didn't realize they would clean a pond like that. cool

we were given some white chinese geese and one white embden male. we are having babies as we speak! some we will sell for pets or for meat. most we will keep to protect the other poultry and to keep the weeds out of the garden... and now and then my customers get a duck or goose egg and they get all excited about using it in baking...

Iwish I liked the taste of duck and goose. I don't, we raised some ducks a few years ago for meat, and no one liked the meat, so we sold the rest of them off. live of course.

I want to raise them now for pets and maybe make a little profit on the side by incubating the eggs.

I have my first geese pair on order from Ideal! They're Chinese White and I'm naming them Hanzel and Gretel. I want them to raise nice large families we can eat!
Next year I'd like to add some ducks.
