Seedings
Rubirosa. I've read that Rubirosa has been known here in the US as Rubiline. I'm still trying to sort this out the Rubiline "group". Did you use two separate lines of Rubirosa? Congrats on the seedlings. When do you plan to place them in their own pot?
i use 2 plants from the same seed pod that i grew out sisters rubrosa is in the rubilne line i plan on poting theam up to morow paul
Brugs, with the exception of B. arborea, don't come true from seed. The only way to have a Brug called Rubirosa is to get a cutting. Then it would be genetically identical to the mother plant. Calling the seedlings from a Rubirosa seedpod Rubirosa, threw me off. It also causes all kinds of problems. The seedlings were able to cross pollinate because they are genetically different, but they are not a Rubirosa X Rubirosa cross. At best, it would be a (? X Rubirosa) X (? X Rubirosa) or (Rubirosa X ?) X (Rubirosa X ?) The question mark being the other parent involved in the original cross.
it says on the top of the thread its Ruberrosa X ? the onely reason most brugs dont come true from seed as no one has really done any line breeding or any interbreeding
certainly is lovely..
