Luckily Rowlett again dodged a bullet, as the severe stuff stayed well south of us (we did get 1-3/4" of rain). But TJ, Mitch, others -- how did you fare? There wasn't hail this time, but those winds were wicked. I hope everyone made it through okay.

Storms Wed evening
I'm in SW Fort Worth and we had high winds and lots of thunder & lightning. We got 2.25" of rain. Most of the severe stuff hit south of us around Crowley, Burleson, Cleburne, & Joshua.
We had baseball hail and I saw a twister as I was 8 miles from home and got my car beat up pretty good. Just had new roofs put on house, barn and out building last week. Also have poison ivy on my arms. Had taken all the plants out of the greenhouse sunday and they are going to need some major hair cuts! Well I dont ever want to live that Horror flick again! We are alive and the horses and goats are fine so I am very thankful for that. This just hasnt been my week.LOL Spring in Texas is very seldom boring.
WeedLady, sorry to hear of the damage you received. In 2005, we got hammered like that. It sounded like someone was throwing bricks onto our roof. Stripped almost all the leaves off our huge oak trees. Many hours, actually days, cleaning up debris in the yard. We use those huge compost rings made from old fiberglas underground storage tanks to put the debris in. That mixed with lots of llama and donkey manure has just now reached the stage that it is wonderful for the yard. Only good thing that came from that storm.
We were at a meeting when the storm hit, lots of wind and heavy rain, the very top branch of our silver maple broke down and could have done a lot of damage, but for some miracle it landed in the middle of the yard and hit nothing at all, as if someone had laid it down carefully.
We had to cut it all up today, lots of wood, and we have to grind the leaves and small branches.
Also we lost power last night, and it didn't come back till five this afternoon, had a generator keeping the refrigerator going, but that was all, boy did we miss it !!!
I had to go to my husbands office to do the Texas birthdays.
Things are back to normal now, we shall see for how long.

Had a dr. appt. at 9AM. Should have stayed home. Took 45 minutes to go 17 miles with lots of winding around to avoid high water at various intersections. At exactly midnight the tornado sirens went off and we were up getting the two dogs and ourselves into the closet. Drs. office is at Methodist Central. Not long after I arrived the power went off and I was in an elevator. Took a couple of minutes for the emergency generators to kick on and we were able to get out. Didn't know it could be so dark.
Think I'm gonna move to Jersey to be near my daughter. Heck all they get there is Rain and Snow. I have about had it with Texas weather. We spend a year fixing things from the last storms and they hit us again. I never thought I would want to live up there but I have had enough of these storms in my 50yrs to go. Allstate has been good to us!
We got 1.75" inches in about an hour and half...probably a little bit more after that. Lots of swirly stuff near Krum and down in Lewisville, and the sirens went off here, but nothing here more than pretty strong winds. I did have a limb fall our of our oak tree, but it was a dead one I knew was going to fall anyway. I could tell there was a dead limb up there somewhere as I could see bits of bark falling into the pool over several days, but I just couldn't see it up there with all the thick foliage. The wind helped dislodge it, and it was a good sized dead limb.
I still haven't fixed the fence from the last bit of high winds a couple of weeks ago. I've got to get paid first.
