I know "the mother of the groom" for a May wedding. I want to get her a planter (full of plants) for her porch. Anyone know of a nursery in that area that is consistently good and will deliver? This time of year are there any such planters that are anywhere near grown? Or should I stick w/ potted plants, like mums?

Nursery near Brier, Washington?
I think that Molbak's in Woodinville would be a good choice. Another would be Sky Nursery. As to the delivery and such, I am not too sure about those details. Another spot that I get cut flowers from is the Bothell Florist, they may be able to help you more. Sky and Molbak's have big websites, the florist may not: 800-530-8844.

Yes, the nurseries have the jump on spring and have put together lots of planters for those of us who are starving for warmth and color. Skye (in North Seattle), Swanson's (in Ballard), and Molbak's (in Woodinville) are good options, though I don't know about their delivery services.
Emery's in North Lynnwood/Mill Creek also has some nice stuff.
thank you, I will check out their websites and call. I imagine her receiving a big planter w/ potting soil w/ little flags id-ing where the baby plants are!LOL
They can get you summer-time full planters. I was at Squak Nursery in Issaquah last weekend and they had beautiful lush planters out. It's too early to take them out of the greenhouse yet, I think - but as far as the baskets were concerned, it was already summer.
I have since then found out our son will be driving up 2 days earlier then us so I will make the planter here and send it w/ him to deliver. thank you. I hope I can find lush plants!
