Kay, do you have cool summers? If you don't, then you have to do what I do. Enjoy the photos. I've read that they quit blooming when the temperature reaches 72ºF - 80ºF. The plants can literally drop dead overnight.

It's listed as B. sanguinea and may have been crossed with a lilac flava. Or vice versa.
Interesting, but flavas, vulcanicolas and the like just don't make it in the heat and humidity of summer.
The trick is to get that color into a brug that can withstand the rigors of summer.
Otherwise, its going to have to be in the greenhouse basking in it's own artificial environment.
An expensive and not very practical solution for the average gardener.
It is good to see, though. :-)

Is there a place that has no winter and such cool summers to not go over 80*f?
