The cat. wandered off the flowering maple, it turned its snout up on the brugmansia's leave I've helped it there. Then wandered off into the mondo's grass.

Seems like it's finding a cooler shady place from the heat of the day.

I checked my books and some sites on the internet and I didn't see anything like it. Kind of pretty too!
I hope someone recognizes it :)

Lisa, that is id'ed to be a forest tent cat. :(( So I figured one lone cat. isn't going to defoliages all my big broad leaves trees in the area. It's like you said pretty to look at. But it must have gone and pupated somewhere.

Thanks for letting me know Kim! Too bad it wasn't somekind of beautiful butterfly. Glad it didn't do any damage to your trees.

Kim -
What is that beautiful purple flower you posted on the 'Happy Birthday, Sheila' thread? And if you don't mind my asking, where is Vincent?
Thanks!

Hi Lucy; Kindly bring me the thread, I don't remember where to look it up. We're near Pell City of I-20, mins. from Talladega International Speed way.

I've found it. Pardon me, that's was my Lilac bush that bloomed first time. Lilacs are rare here in our hot and humid weather. This one somehow pulled through. The flowers at close up look big, but its actual size is no more than 4" across, maybe a little smaller. A few years old Lilac.
