I picked this up today and I cant seem to find what type it is, I also bought a red one, at first I thought it was a mini rose until I really took notice of the leaves. Am I on the right track with it being a begonia. Oh and did I mention how I hate when they dont come with tags LOL
Thanks

Has to be a tuberous begonia. They are big this year; I'm seeing them in all the stores. They are being sold early and in full flower.
I bought a LOT of bulbs of various kinds of tuberous begonias, potted them up over a month ago, and only one pot has anything showing, a quarter-inch pink stem. So they can be slow.
Phebe- How do you care for begonias for the winter? Do you bring them inside in the fall?
tasha,
I have 4 potted tuberous root begonias that I have had for nearly 3 years. I take them to the basement in the fall and just leave them set all winter. Then early in the spring I bring the up and start watering. They were kind of slow this spring and I didn't think 2 of them were going to do anything, but they finally did. They are doing wonderfully!
Not sure if those are tuberous (maybe, maybe not). Check out hiemalis (rieger) begonias. They look almost like tuberous begonias due to their larger blooms (but not as large as tuberous) but don't form a tuber. Usually treated as an annual but it looks like you can propagate them if you are so inclined.

Now that you mention it, I think mine might be rieger begonias. I bought them so long ago I don't actually know for certain. It's terrible to be plant illiterate. I'm learning more all the time though. :-)
