Good For A Laugh

Tucson, AZ

This morning I go out in the yard to feed the chickens. The flock is three chickens short and I immediately think of my cat. Thank goodness it wasn't the cat...the Rhode Island Reds jumped the fence into my neighbors yard. At quarter to 6 in the morning, I call my neighbor and she proceeds to chase the chickens around in her backyard screaming at them while she is wearing her house coat and slippers. Twenty five minutes later-she catches all three and sends them back over the fence. Totally late for work but definitely gave me a laugh. Just thought I would share!

thank you! i hope your neighbor was screaming in a co-operative sort of way... so glad it wasn't your cat!

It was definitely cooperative screaming. Of course, it would be so much easier if we could just say "alright ladies....time to jump back over the fence." I swear...sometimes I feel like I am herding cats not chickens!
