thanks for the links... actually looks more like Eriosyce crispa to me
In the cacti.com link, notice how the spines of E. crispa are longer and curve upward?
Yours and mine don't do that.
but the flowers match E crispa
You're right, The taller Eriosyce crispa in the cacti.com link, (the one with the flower), the spines aren't longer and don't curve upward, and the flower is the same as yours

I guess it just must be that younger E. crispa that looks the spines are curved like that
