My snapdragons

Fort Worth, TX

I think my snapdragons might have been grafted. I don't really know but there different color blooms on the same plant. The maroon plant has come up with yellow blooms, the yellow plant has come up with pink blooms and the hot pink plant has come up with an orange/red bloom. What's going on?

I purchased a flat from the nursery that is mixed. I don't know how it is done but I have 18 plants and all are multiple colors. More bang for the buck. Maybe someone will pop up that can explain how it was accomplished. It is in the seed and I sure hoping that the seed comes back.

They are beautiful and have bloomed throughout winter. It makes you take a second look

It could be that your original snapdragons were hybrids and some of the plants that are blooming now have sprouted from seed that reverted back to a parent.

I had that happen with dark burgandy snaps. They lived through the winter and in spring about a foot away some new pink ones popped up out of nowhere.

I was over there this weekend and each pic she posted is only one plant. Very cool looking!

I love the plants but I would like to know how they did it. They are happy bloomers.
