What a wonderful Monday!

Ever have one of those days where everything is going the right way? Well today was like that for me.
I checked this forum this am before going to work. I read how good Debbie's Phoebe is doing so I left the house on a happy note. I get to work and one of my co-workers tells me about a patient of ours who has been dealing with another type of cancer from mine and had just found out her tumor markers were way down, I was so amazed and happy as she and I had many talks about how we were handling the news and our outlook on life and dealing with this monster.
Then my husband calls me at the office that my oncology nurse called and left a message at home that my tumor marker test came back and it also went down, so the medication is working and there will me no change in treatment and things are stable. I am walking on cloud 9 ☺☺☺
All our patients were happy today and work went very smooth.
I got home and my new lily bulbs arrived and I changed into my gardening cloths, and started planting. I was close enough while planting the lilies that I got my nose right in the fragrant daffodils. What a great day!

Chris, your post just made my day. Not to compare you to Phoebe, but it was wonderful to read earlier today that she's doing well and it's absolutely fantastic to read this evening that you're doing better.

Sending you a big old bouquet of happy hugs.

That's super news!!!! Big cheers for you being brave and for the hardwork of all the researchers docs and nurses working in that field and making lots of good news.

Awww...Chris, you're giving me goosebumps - the warm and fuzzy kind :)) Thrilled for you and your good news and so sweet of you to mention Phoebe in the same breath! You sound like me, when I got home on Sunday I was feeling so much better about things and for the first time this spring got down on my hands and knees and did a little weeding, all under the watchful eye of Phoebe of course! I can't believe how far behind I am this year in the gardens, and now with all the lovely rain we've had recently, those weeds are going to be exploding and swallowing everything! I'm going to be one very busy weeder!!!

Keep walking on Cloud 9!

Great news indeed Chris. So happy to hear this. I know that the battle has been long and often times weary for you. You are doing a fantastic job in keeping your attitude as positive as you can. That is half the battle right there, it would seem.

Here is wishing you very good reports from here on out. Love you lady.

Chris, Looks like you are making everyone's day a little brighter. All such good news. I just found out that my daughter and her husband are expecting a second baby. Precious little Lily will have a brother or sister sometime in Dec. close to my birthday.

Thanks everyone for letting me share. Want you all to know are my cyber support group, like reading all your garden and other news. And Congrats to HollyAnn on being a Grandmaw again!
Ruby, you are right about 1/2 the battle is the attitude. I can't turn back the clock and make this go away, or wave a magic wand, but the best thing to do is live each day as normal as possible and keep doing what you like to do. Also keeping positive people around you, I noticed when I was in Chemo treatment, that all the staff had a smile and joked with each other and the patients, they also had a serious side if it was needed, but I didn't see that very often.
There is also a saying that I keep reminding myself of "I have Cancer, but Cancer doesn't have me" sort of like the bad relative that shows up for Thanksgiving, he's there but you have a good time anyways.
Have a wonderful day,
Chris

Yes, she is an inspiration and I get to finally meet her in person on May 17th. Yippie!!!!! Chris went over and beyond what was expected by a fellow poster here while I was going through a bad time. She deserves every praise that she gets.
