There is a purple one called solanum crispum (chilean potato vine). I love mine but it needs to be staked to a trellis.

ok great do you know where i could buy this at? plmk and thxs

Raleigh, NC

Common on the West Coast--I would recommend checking on-line nurseries in that region or going to their local forum to ask for a start. I have one that I brought from the the San Fran area--its barely surviving, at the moment, or I would offer cuttings. Also, try the Big Box stores--they don't realize that its better suited for other areas, and I know I've seen it at some here in Raleigh a few times....

can you keep an eye for me one? i would love to have it thxs so much

Pinellas Park, FL(Zone 9b)

Purple or white? I don't remember where I got mine to be honest. I may have started them from seed as I have 2 and don't remember trading for them. May have gotten em at a roundup without an ID tag. Had to wait for the blooms to ID.

want both lol but if you can find either that would be fine too
thxs so much
are you looking for anyting ? plmk and thxs again

Raleigh, NC

Can do!! If I see one, I'll let you know--

Edited to say that the white one I have (which is not hardy here, which is why mine is half-surviving) is Solanum jasminoides. Is that what you are looking for? There is another white form with a similar common name which has much larger flowers than S. jasminoides...

Edited again to say here's a source... http://site.mawebcenters.com/accentsforhomeandgarden_1/catalog_i7476211.html?catId=292146
