It was like a bomb explosion only a couple seconds after a huge flash of lightning. The dogs (who ignore fireworks) are running around the house barking. And the hairs on the back of my neck are up.
Anybody else experience this tonight?
Holy Cow - Thunder and Lightning Overhead in Woodinville
Not here, but I have been super-intense woman looking for something online.
I know nothing else except that it is dark & cold outside, and I am warm inside.
Actually, it was probably the Authorities...
You would have heard this. It made the house rattle. And it was very close to the lightening. As it so turns out, I'm a bit of a wuss about thunder and lightening. So quit it, will ya?
What are you looking for online? And would you happen to remember the name of that beautiful Hellebore we saw yesterday at Squak Mountain Nursery?
Oooh, and while I was weeding today in the front bed, I found at least 10 hellebore seedlings. I have Ivory Prince and another taller pink one out there (got it several years ago and don't remember the name). Hope these are neat hybrids. Not sure now whether I'll leave them or move them.
Holey Sh______. More lightning. The thunder was 10 seconds away, but it came like deep machine-gun fire. I need a sedative . . .

which one? we saw several - oh, probably the "blah blah slate" one, LOL!
I will find out for you. along with the stolon grasses...
Nope - did not hear it here. Must be a local thing.
Looking online for GH parts so that I can build one to fit a 4X8 bed. Trying to not look at the big, REAL ones. REAL TOUGH! REALLY NICE...
Oh and more grasses. Never enough grasses. Or Trellises - always needing more for the Clems that i will be ordering.
I've got quite a list going at Silver Star Vinery: for me it's a wallet vacuum.
Onward, and then prep for the work week at workwork.
Ooooh I want to know about the grasses to :0)
Katie, I hope the thunder/lightening passes soon. Take the puppies a warm glass of milk and some cookies and go curl up on the bed. If it gets to scary just pull the covers over your head, but just make sure not to spill your milk! None down here it's just cold out! Come on spring! Where are you? Fairies?
No thunder/lightening over this way - or if there was, I slept through it. And I actually did that a night last week!
Thanks, Rach. Fortunately there were only the two booms and we all got back to napping and typing.
I talked to the Faeries this morning and the weather will get back to normal today. Yippee!! Feeling so sorry for those poor frogs - only get a ribbit or two at night these days. Just too cold for frog courting.
