Help! Wanted: Linnaea borealis

Moscow, ID

I have thoroughly searched most of google now and I can't find anywhere to buy a Linnaea borealis (or twinflower) specimen. I live in Moscow, Idaho and they are native to the area but I have gathered they are somewhat protected so I don't want to bother one in its natural habitat (not to mention I have been told plants don't transfer well) This plant has special personal significance to me and I will go to great lengths to obtain one.

The only prospective seller I have found is a Canadian nursery who wont ship until Aug 31 at the earliest, and ideally I would have it before the middle of the summer in order to get it established before the extremely harsh winters here. I am a new member here and have seen the great responses others have gotten and I would like to say thanks in advance.

I have great empathy with you on this - I have spent the better part of the winter trying to locate this plant with no luck, either here or in No. America. If you locate it - I would be grateful for the resource info.

I found a couple of sources that are wholesale and I will order some to have here. I saw that Wallace Hansen nursery in Oregon has them. You might want to try them. I know where there is a whole woods full in Suquamish. Good luck Heidi
