This is one of my seedlings

I am thinking of naming her Viola's Star. After my grandmother Viola who we laid to rest today. She was 98.
This morning the flower had not opened fully but when we returned home after the funeral it had opened.

That would be a beautiful thing - I love that idea! She is a beauty. I am sorry to hear about your grandmother - she sure did live a long life.....

That's a wonderful name for a beautiful clematis. She undoubtedly looking down on her star tonight. Sorry for your lose.

ThanksDawn and Debbie for you kind words. This seedling is three years old and I have been thinking of a name for her but nothing sounded right until today. So Viola's Star it is.

Debbie I am going to try the layering method of rooting some of the vines this summer and fall. If I have luck I will send you one.

Another bloom on Viola's Star. I like the Blue edge with Silver center. It starts out this way then turns and lavender color then to the silver.

She's a beauty through out all her changes..a winner!!...Jeanne
