Showing off my EXPLOSION !!
M_ How wonderful..You have some real Bloomin' Beauties there.I just love AV's that are passed from generation to generation. So much more special in my book.Love how they can really stand the test of time and memories from them live on and on.....
That mystery av and the story behind it is amazing..Such a pretty bloom..growing in a pot of aloe..You will have to think of a special name to give that special plant...Thanks for sharing your pics^_^
Very nice. Yes, so great to have you mom's violet. I WISH I had some of my husbands g.mothers plants.
Very pretty!
Marilynne: Wow, what beautiful Violets! I especially Love that last one growing in with the aloe! How wonderful ... I would love to find a fuzzy little leaf like that growing in with my aloe plant!
Great Growing!
Ya know .. I don't baby these plants .. and it boggles my mind how all of a sudden .. POOF .. full of blooms .. gotta love Mother Nature .. AND .. an east window :-)
~M~
East windows ... I wish the east side of my entire house was glass! All of my plants seem to prefer and do really well in the east windows. The problem in my house, only 3 east windows - one small kitchen window (where I have my rooting jars with stuff growing in water) and one window in the study and one in the guest bedroom. Three of the four cats like to sleep stretched in those windows ... so it's hard to have plants sitting on the window sills. I put my plant stands in front of the windows and have hanging plants but window sills seem to get taken by the kitties!
Marylin those are some awesome violets! And your right, on cool, dull spring days there is nothing like some blooming violets!
Lin that is so funny that your cats like the east windows as well as your plants. Which pets to give preference too?? I like your compromise, hang the plants and let the cats have the sills! :))
~Brenda
^_^ I'm afraid the cats win out when it comes to the window sills ... otherwise my plants would be on the floor!
I have had these Violtes in a south window and they down right went on strike !!!
I have a 'ladder' typa deal to put the plants on .. should have bought 2 !!
Our wee Westie has 50% squatting riights with the cat on the south window .. :-)
