My husband and I are traveling to the Kentucky lakes area around Memorial day from Missouri and I was wondering if there were any good places to pick up any hoya along the way. We'll be going through Illinois too so if anyone knows of any good places around those areas I'd be thrilled (as would my husband lol.) ^_^ TIA!

Hoya sources in Kentucky....
Becky, Kentucky is a beautiful state and I know you will enjoy the scenery. Isn't Brians Botanicals in Kentucky? I do not think he grows many Hoyas, but, he does have some wonderful aroids. Other than Brian, I have not heard of any Kentucky vendors. If you venture south of Ky, you would be welcome to visit my greenhouse. I am not a vendor, but, I will share cuttings.
Mel
I doubt we'll be going south Mel but thank you so much for the offer- that's very sweet! And thanks- I'll check out Brian's. ^_^
oo How envious I will be! I would LOVE to go see Brian's place!!!
Becky,
Places to buy hoyas in Kentucky are as scarce as hen's teeth. Except for the occasional find at Lowes or Home Depot in some areas, they are not available.
Brian has some beautiful plants, especially Aroids and some epiphtyes.
I was afraid of that cicada. That's the only places around here to get them too. Maybe we can check one of them though- ours around here haven't had anything in the way of hoyas lately. :(
