Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center in Orange Texas just opened last month.
I went this week a thought I would share some pictures with you.

This is just a glimpse of the gardens. It's only been open about a month so some of the plants are still small. It will be interesting to go back in future months and see the progression.

Well, it looks like we will have to come there someday.
When your traveling down the bayou surrounded by cypress draped with spanish moss or looking at the herons on the lake, it's hard to believe you are in the heart of the city.
Yes, isn't it wonderful that some people have the foresight to save these natural wonders for us?
I forgot to post a picture of this cute little critter. It was climbing up the table leg where we were sitting outside the cafe.
