Cutting

I have a long cutting about 20 inches that has started to leaf out. It is not planted yet and wanted to know if I can still cut it in 2 or 3 pieces and plant it. Or should I just plant the whole piece in a pot? thank you in advance

I would pot the whole thing so you don't have one or two center cuts and a tip cutting that are only 6-10 inches long, but that is just my preference.

Me personally...if it has already started to leaf I would leave it the way it is and pot it.
