Are you ready to rumble?

Gladwin, MI(Zone 5a)

Canada geese have been fighting for days now. Took my camera down to the edge of the water and tried to catch some of the action.

(Be sure to add your own sound effects/captions to these photos)

I call this one "running on water"
I clicked when he was about a third into the photo. They are fast when they are mad!

"Get the [expletive deleted] out of MY patch!!"

They get their necks straight out and start honking to warn the trespassers.

Lol Resin. I thought that too.

Here a goose went up on a stump and was nosing around. That could not be tolerated!

Last one (only made 5 smaller pics to post) This is "the chase".

These pictures were taken about an hour ago, but these guys keep it up day and night. Even the couples argue.

The one pair that is nesting right out front, the female is very agressive and does her share of chasing the females at the same time the male is chasing the males.
Her mate comes back and really scolds her. (I would like to think he was giving her "way to go, you rock!") but he bites her and pushes her back towards the nest. So I am thinking he is just putting her in her place. (I named her Helen Reddy)

Ha, I just noticed that on the first picture, the female has her tongue flapping. So is she giving support or nagging?

Also wanted to add my buddy that was watching the whole show. I just turned the camera and caught him instensely watching. (he usually won't stay still, as he is camera shy)
