Any idea what blacked out my icons? Yikes!

Howdy Folks...

For some reason, out of the blue, all the little icons that are displayed before my files in My Documents, as well as in my "Links" are blacked out. There used to be a little yellow folder symbol that showed either "Folder" or a symbol for "Jpg" or the like.

For some reason I now have a little square black thingy. I've searched through my Help menu trying to find out how to change it back to its original form but no luck.

All the little icons on my web pages look just fine (for example the little pink flower before DG's address is fine, TV listings show their little icon just fine, etc). This seems to be affecting my "My Documents" and also my "Links".

Anyone have any idea what happened and/or how to fix it back? (I"m using Win2K)
